Reference Number 0000289553 Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/03/26 11:59:00 PM EDT The Asset Management Service has identified eleven (11) sites throughout the City of Ottawa that have substandard drainage conditions that require improvements. The works are intended to address drainage issues and concerns that were generally submitted by residents, councillors or other departments. Please refer to the Project Charter for site locations. The objective of the project is to provide the design and construction of drainage improvement at each site. The scope of work includes a combination of ditching, new storm sewers, new culverts, new catch basins and roadway changes as required. The consultant is to determine, through hydraulic design, the extent, size and the slope of the proposed sewers. Attain any necessary approvals to construct the sewer. The design of sewers must conform to the latest Ottawa Sewer Design Guidelines and Technical Bulletins. The self-cleaning velocity must be achieved in the new pipes. The design will also require a review of overland flow patterns as well as ensuring surface drainage from both the roadway and from behind the sidewalk is sufficiently captured. The project will require communicating with residents, stakeholders, and the respective Councillor's offices.
