Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Stockton, Missouri. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to replace the roof of the Stockton Community Building. The existing roof consists of asphalt shingles approximately twenty-years (20) years of age that are of average wear. The contractor is required to submit a proposal for both a thirty-year (30) asphalt shingle roof and a metal roof system. The proposal should include the following: 1. General Requirements Roof Inspection: A thorough inspection of the existing roof and underlying structure must be conducted to ensure that any necessary repairs to the decking or structural components are included. Historical Preservation: Work must adhere to any historical preservation guidelines or recommendations, ensuring that the character-defining features of the building are preserved. Contractors should submit a plan to preserve the building's historical aesthetics while updating the roof. Debris Removal: All debris, including old roofing materials, nails, and waste, must be properly removed and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. Protection of Building: The contractor must ensure that no damage occurs to the building's exterior, interior, or surrounding landscaping during the roofing process. The City of Stockton is seeking proposals from qualified contractors to replace the roof of the Stockton Community Building located at 209 North Street, Stockton, with either asphalt shingles or a metal roof depending on the cost.
