A. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract with a Base Bid which may be awarded with or without Alternate #1 so that the Project is within budget and in the Owners best interest. B. The project is funded through a grant from the SC Infrastructure Investment Program (SCIIP). Applicable Federal requirements of 2 CFR 200, Appendix II are described in the Supplemental Conditions for Federal Projects included in the Bidding Documents. C. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor necessary to construct the following components at the existing facility in Due West, SC 1. New mechanical bar screen 2. New concrete truck tracks for drying beds 3. New lime slurry feed system 4. The work is divided into a Base Bid with one (1) add alternate. D. Principal Items of Work Include 1. Installation of equipment & piping 2. Site Work 3. Asphalt Paving 4.
