The purpose of this notice isto obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of all qualified sources; (2) whether they are small or large businesses; HUBZone small businesses; service-disabled, veteran- owned small businesses; 8(a) small businesses; veteran-owned small businesses; woman-owned small businesses; or small disadvantaged businesses; and (3)their understanding, capabilities and experience relative to the proposed acquisition to assist the Government in determining the expectation of receiving offers from responsible contractors at fair market prices. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set- aside is possible. An organization that is not under the applicable NAICS code can submit a response to this notice, however their capabilities may/may not be assessed for the purposes of this notice. This project will require maintenance dredging within the federal navigation channel and small boat harbors to authorized depths with a production rate of at least 2,000 cubic yards (CY) per day, or 10,000 cubic yards per week, transporting dredged material safely to the designated placement sites up to 12 river milesfrom the dredging area, and then placement of the dredged material in the Government furnished placement site. Placement site types include upland, bankline, and thalweg. In addition, the upland placement sitesidentified may require earthwork, grubbing, seeding, grading, and other preparatory work to ensure effluent water leaving the designated upland placement site meets state water quality requirements. Communicating with lockmasters and maritime users to minimize impacts to vessel traffic, adjacent utilities, and dredging operations will be required. Will also be responsible for furnishing all plant, labor, operators, supervision, equipment, transportation, supplies, materials, and incidentals in order to perform the dredging work.
