Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in San Mateo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Description of the Work. The Work Generally Consists of Construction of Four (4) Sand Volleyball Courts at Existing Parking Lot Location, Demolition as Required. New Fencing, Scoreboard, Ada Improvements and Low Voltage Pathway to Project Site. This is a Labor Agreement Project: This Project is Subject to the Terms of the Program Stabilization Agreement (Pla) Executed Between the District and the San Mateo County Buildings and Trades Council. This Project is Subject to Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations Pursuant to Labor Code Section 1771.5. Contractor Registration. Prospective Subcontractors and Vendors Are Encouraged to Attend. The Conference Will Include a Project Overview and Site Walk. Question Deadline 10/20/2025 at 5:00 PM PT To Include the Following: o Demolition of site to prepare for new volleyball courts. Includes existing parking lot, sidewalks, one light pole and one tennis court and two drinking fountains o ADA upgrades to existing restroom building includes removal of partitions and fixtures, patch/repair FRP walls and tile floor to bring both rooms to single stall usage o Trench work for new 2" conduits from project site to building 30 IDF connection o New footings for scoreboard A. Work comprises of construction of a beach volleyball facility with (4) courts located at College of San Mateo in parking lot D, San Mateo, California 94402. Upgrades are proposed to provide the college with a facility that the student athletes can utilize during season for practices and games, as well as hosting NCAA meets. B. Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, services, permits, temporary controls and construction facilities, and all general conditions, seismic requirements, general requirements and incidentals required to complete the Work in its entirety as described in the Contract Documents. The Work includes, but is not necessarily limited to the following: 1. Demolition of existing parking lot and one (1) tennis court with adjacent fencing. 2. Construction of Four (4) sand volleyball courts, new concrete sidewalks, new fencing, installation of OFCI scoreboard including required structural footings, accessibility upgrades to both restrooms within nearby building 30A and technology integration to building 30 to support the devices as part of the facility. 3. Electrical upgrades, including: new power connections for active network equipment pulling from building 30, demolition of one (1) light pole. 4. Coordination with other contractors working at the site and its Subcontractors, coordination with local utility owners and PG&E and the District, obtaining necessary permits and complying with permit and environmental conditions, project startup and testing, site restoration and cleanup. C. The Work of this Contract comprises construction of all the Work indicated, described in the Specifications, or otherwise required by the Contract Documents. D. Unless provided otherwise in the Contract Documents, all risk of loss to Work covered by Contract Documents shall rest with Contractor until Final Acceptance of the Work. E. Contractor's use of the premises for Work and storage is limited to the area indicated. F. Contractor shall be solely responsible for all utilities (including without limitation electricity, water, gas, etc.) at the Site. G. Contractor shall carefully remove, in a manner to prevent damage, all materials and equipment specified or indicated to be salvaged and reused or to remain the property of District. Contractor shall store and protect salvaged items specified or indicated to be reused in the Work. a. Contractor may furnish and install new items instead of those specified or indicated to be salvaged and reused, in which case such removed items will become Contractor's property. H. Existing materials and equipment removed by Contractor shall not be reused in the Work, except where so specified or indicated. I. Salvaged items not to be reused in the Work, but to remain District's property, shall be delivered by Contractor in good condition to District at the Facilities Maintenance Center, 1700 West Hillsdale Blvd, San Mateo. a. Any items specified or indicated to be salvaged which are damaged in removal, storage, or handling through carelessness or improper procedures shall be replaced by Contractor in kind or with new items.
