McKenzie County requests formal bids for the McKenzie County 2025 Landfill Construction project. Work will include, but is not limited to, constructing a new inert waste landfill cell, Inert Phase 3; final closure of MSW Phases 3-5; partial closure of MSW Phase 6; closure of Inert Phases 1-2; improvements to the Public Drop Off Area; and other items noted in the bid documents. The bid documents included in the project specifications must be used for bidding. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bidder's Bond and copy of North Dakota Contractors license in a separate envelope. The Bid Bond shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the full amount of the bid. All bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bids, as required by Section 43-07-07 of the North Dakota Century Code and a copy of the license or certificate of renewal thereof shall be enclosed with the bid bond envelope in accordance with Section 43-07-12. No bid will be considered which does not fully comply with the above provisions as to Bond and Licenses, and any deficient bid submitted will be rejected and returned to the Bidder. McKenzie County reserves the right to reject any and all bids submitted and to hold all bids for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from said date of opening. The Contract provides for the construction of a new inert waste landfill cell, Inert Phase 3; final closure of MSW Phases 3-5; partial closure of MSW Phase 6; closure of Inert Phases 1-2; and, improvements to the Public Drop Off Area. Construction consists of excavation and base grading, final cover grading, erosion control, stormwater and surface water control, construction of a cast-in-place concrete retaining wall, asphalt pavement, chain link fencing installation, miscellaneous work, and finish site work.
