Completed plans call for the renovation of a playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and for outdoor lighting for a playground / park / athletic field.

Construction of a new parking lot, rehabilitation of an existing parking lot, lighting improvements, installation of a restroom facilities, and installation of new pavilion. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Giddings or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas Department of Agriculture Office of Rural Affairs and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. The City of Giddings reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Giddings for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the Contract Award. The intent of the project is to award the Base Bid and, as funds allow, to award any Bid Alternatives in the order as shown in the Bid. All contractors/subcontractors whose System for Award Management (SAM.gov) registration is not active or that are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
