Broadview Park Septic Tank Elimination Broward County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any technicality in the bid documents, and to accept the bid which best serves the interest of the County. This open-end contract provides for all labor, materials, equipment, services and coordination required to connect residences within the Broadview Park community to the existing sanitary sewer and abandon the existing septic system in accordance with all applicable State and local codes and requirements. The work consists of executing contracts between Broward County and Property Owners, obtaining Broward County Uniform Building Permits with Septic to Sewer Conversion Certificate, obtaining notarized and recorded Notices of Commencement , all necessary plumbing work on private property to make a complete and functional system, making connections to existing sanitary sewer stubs, excavating and backfilling, compaction, disposing of surplus material from trenches, full septic tank abandonments, and all restoration 1. Work under this Contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to abandon multiple existing residential septic systems and connect these properties to existing Broward County sewer services. All work shall be complete in place in accordance with Broward County Building Code Division (BCBCD) requirements or latest revision thereto and the requirements stipulated in the Standard Grant Agreement. Whenever there are differences in requirements with other Agencies Having Jurisdiction, the more restrictive requirements shall apply. 2. All work under this contract must be performed on or before the expiration date of the Standard Grant Agreement, currently June 30, 2026 or as formally amended. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Broward County (Grantee) will construct the Broward County North New River Canal Resilience Project (Project) to connect up to 240 private property owners’ lateral sewer lines to an existing Broward County sanitary sewer system and abandon up to 240 septic tanks. The Project will mitigate sea level rise, flooding, and storm surge by removing highly at-risk septic tanks located along and immediately adjacent to a major tidal waterbody.
