Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Southbridge, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the construction of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; for paving for a transportation facility; and water / sewer project.

The work includes but is not necessarily limited to: Tree/Brush Clearing/Removal and Grubbing, Excavation and Grading to Support the Construction of a 6-Space Nested Pre-Engineered Metal Aircraft Storage T-Hangar; Concrete Foundation, New Electrical Service for the New T-Hangar, New Fire Protection Sprinkler System to Service the New T-Hangar, Construction of New Asphalt Pavement Apron Surrounding the New T-Hangar, Drainage Improvements, Pavement Markings, Site Restoration (Topsoil, Seeding & Mulching), and incidentals.. The contract time for completion is 90 calendar days from the date of "Notice to Proceed". Bid security in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total bid must be submitted with the bid. The bid security shall be a proposal guaranty bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Bid security shall be made payable to the Town of Southbridge. Bids submitted without security will not be considered. Goals for minority participation for each trade: 1.6% Goals for female participation in each trade: 6.9% The airport has an overall program Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Goal of 1.89%. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids shall be valid for 120 calendar days after the bid receipt date. Also reserved is the right to reject, for cause, any bid in part or whole, if it is judged by the Owner that the best interests of the Town of Southbridge will be served thereby. Site visit description: Interested bidders must call Stantec's Project Manager, John Henry at (207) 245-4990 and provide name, email address and telephone number of all proposed site visit attendees in order be placed on the access list for the site visit. This will be the only scheduled site visit opportunity within the airport security fence to view the project site.
