Site work and paving for a road / highway in Marysville, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and road / highway.
The city of Marysville is accepting bids to remove the asphalt surface on a portion of 12th Road and lay rock. The project includes the removal of the asphalt surfacing on 12th Rd from Highway 36, extending south to where the asphalt transitions into gravel (approximately 1,670 feet). The contractor will also replace the surface with an acceptable gravel surface with City provided gravel. The winning contractors will be responsible for notifying residents one week (7 days) in advance of starting work on this project by written notification left at the residence. A reasonable timeline for each project will be set up in advance and approved by the City Administrator. The winning bidder is responsible for completing this project no later than October 31st. The winning capable contractor will be selected based on the lowest bid. 12th Road: From Highway 36 to where the asphalt transitions to gravel Street Replacement: Remove existing asphalt surface and replace with gravel provided by the City Traffic Control: Must maintain one open lane for residential houses Disposal: Must demo and dispose of existing asphalt All questions can be directed to Joshua Haverkamp, City Administrator at 785-562-5331 or cityadm@bluevalley.net.
