Furnish, deliver, and apply 38% calcium chloride solution to cook county roads. Construction Location: C.S.A.H. 1, 2, 4, 6, 13, 14, 16, 20, 21 and 22; C.R./U.T. 27, 28, 33, 38, 39, 44, 45, 47, 48, 49, 51, 54, 55, 56, 58, 60, 67, 69, 70, 71, 83, 85, 101; and Hollow Rock Rd, Sky port Ln, and Voyageurs Point. Award Date: 22/04/2025 Contract Start Date: 15/05/2025 Construction Start Date: 15/05/2025 Construction End Date: 01/07/2025 Work Type: Surfacing Project Type: Maintenance. Furnishing, delivering, and applying calcium chloride, meeting the specifications in this proposal. The Bidder shall submit its Proposal by the date and time for opening Proposals. will not accept Proposals past the date and time of the opening of Proposals. The Bidder shall submit the Proposal Guaranty electronically through the Project Bids software by the due date and time of the opening of Proposals. If a Bidder fails to provide a Unit Price for any Pay Item on the Bid Schedule, except for "Lump Sum" Pay Items, the Department will reject the Proposal. If a Pay Item in the Proposal requires the Bidder to choose an alternative Pay Item, the Bidder shall indicate its choice in accordance with the Specifications for that Pay Item. ALTERATIONS, CORRECTIONS, DISCREPANCIES, OMISSIONS, ADDENDUMS: Any explanation desired by bidders must be requested from the County's authorized representative in writing a minimum of one week prior to the opening of bids and, if an explanation is necessary, a reply will be made in the form of an addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded prior to the date of bid opening to each bidder who has received the bid documents from the County. Information obtained from an unauthorized officer, agent or employee of the County or any other person shall not affect the risks and obligations assumed by the bidder nor relieve them from fulfilling any of the conditions of the bid documents. For the purposes of the project, the County's authorized representative is County Engineer Robert Hass, (218) 387-3695. Coordination for the execution of the contract will take place with County Highway Maintenance Superintendent, Matt Nesheim, (218) 387-3686. Bids may be rejected if they indicate any omissions, alterations of form, additions not required, deletions, conditional bids, irregularities, or prices that are obviously unbalanced. The successful bidder will be notified by letter, mailed to the address shown on the bid proposal, that the bid has been accepted subject to the execution and approval of the contract. Award shall be made within 30 days of the bid opening. The County Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids if the best interest of the County will thereby be served. The County reserves the right to waive any informality or minor defects where the acceptance, rejection, or waiving of such would be in the best interests of the County. The County shall have the right to take such steps as it deems necessary to determine the ability of the bidder to provide the material; the apparent low bidder, upon request, shall furnish all such information and data for this purpose. The County reserves the right to reject the bid of the apparent low bidder where the available evidence or information does not satisfy the County that the bidder is qualified to carry out properly the terms of the Contract. The County reserves the right to disqualify any bid, before or after opening, upon evidence of collusion, with or without intent to defraud, or upon evidence of any other illegal practices upon the part of any bidder or bidders. The Contractor shall procure and shall maintain during the life of this Contract Liability and Property Damage Insurance of the type and in the amounts specified in paragraph (g) following.
