The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide waste removal and recycling services at the Staunton District complex located at 811 Commerce Road, Staunton, VA 24401, an agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia in accordance with the specifications contained herein. 1.The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies necessary to collect, remove, recover recyclables and properly recycle/dispose of all refuse generated at the Staunton District Lot. All refuse will be placed in the same container and it will be the Contractors responsibility to remove all recyclable products. 2.Refuse generated will include but not be limited to small tree limbs, wood chips, bagged and loose household trash, steel, furniture, and white goods. Furniture and white goods will not be broken down or disassembled. They will be discarded as is. 3.Containers shall remain on the premises at all times. This shall be accomplished by the refuse being dumped onto another truck or other containers being brought to replace the containers being hauled away. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: From April 15, 2025 through April 14, 2026 (renewable) A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held.
