The City of Marshall (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Second Street Water Main Replacement The Project includes the following Work: The Project Base Bid includes the replacement of approximately 3,300 LF of water main on Second Street from Vine Street to Archer Avenue and from the intersection of Second Street and Poplar Street, one block to the east on Poplar Street. Alternate Bid 1 includes the installation of approximately 1,320 LF of water main on Plum Street from Fourth Street to First Street. Alternate Bid 2 the installation of approximately 285 LF of water main for the Maple StreetApartment Complex. This work will generally consist of the furnishing and installation of water system piping, fittings, valves, hydrants, services, connections, disconnections, and appurtenances for potable wa ter. Installation will consist of 8" PVC SDR-21 Water Main along design route. This work also in cludes surface restoration with various pavements, curbing, and sidewalk. The work shall include all labor, supervision, materials, supplies, transporta-tion, equipment, and services necessary and required to per-form the project as set forth in the Contract Documents. Provided the Contractor fur-un-nishes proof of proper insurance and bonding in a timely manner, it is anticipated that a Notice of Award of contract will be issued within 30-to-60 days of the date bids are opened and that a No-tice to Proceed will be issued within 10 days of the date of the Notice of Award. Each proposal shall contain the name of every person or firm interested in the same and shall be accompanied by bid bond, certified check, bank draft, or cashier's check payable to the order of City of Marshall, in an amount not less than 5% of the proposal. This Project shall reach Substantial Completion by May 1, 2026, and Final Completion by June 1, 2026.
