Completed plans call for the addition of a one-story above grade medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; for site work for a medical facility; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The SDMM project includes construction of a one-story building addition on the east side of the existing FCMC hospital's north wing along with a renovation of the existing north wing. A portion of the new addition will include a basement below grade. A shared entrance for clinic and hospital with ample public parking is currently in the process of construction, thus a limited amount of sitework is expected in the SDMM project. To allow for vertical growth, a portion of the new addition's structure will be designed to accommodate a future second floor. Floyd County Medical Center (FCMC) is requesting qualifications for Construction Manager at Risk (CMaR). The request for qualifications is part of a competitive selection process to eventually engage a CMaR firm to provide services for the construction of a Surgery, Dietary & Material Management (SDMM) expansion and renovation at Floyd County Medical Center. FCMC has procured the services of Accord Architecture Company to provide professional services for the design of this project. A copy of the most recent conceptual floor plan and site plan is included in Appendix B. The project is currently in the Schematic Design (SD) phase with construction documents scheduled to be completed before the end of 2025.
