REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ) The City of Reading ("City") is initiating a procurement process for the delivery of Lead Hazard Control Program';hereinafter referred to as the "Project". There is no pre-bid meeting for this bid. Specifications and Bid Forms for the above project can be obtained herein. The City of Reading reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, and to accept or reject any part of a bid, as may be in the public interest. The City is seeking bids for State of Pennsylvania certified Lead Paint Abatement Companies. The scope of work will consist of removing any and all lead (Pb) paint and/or dust within the premises for one hundred fifty (150) units over a thirty-six-month period and as delineated in specific Lead Inspection/Risk Assessment Report. The Pennsylvania certified company will follow HUD "Guidelines for the evaluation and control of Lead-based paint hazards in housing" (2012) as well as all State, and Local Laws, regulations and codes for the evaluation of Lead-based paint hazards in housing units for inspection and clearance requirements. All costs incurred by proposing Contractors are considered by the City to be marketing costs required in order to select a Contractor to perform this work, and the City will not be reimbursing for any costs incurred.
