Renovation of a residential development in Charleston, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
HVAC Split Unit to replace the current HVAC units at Williams Terrace Senior Housing, Charleston, SC. The work will be done as needed. This federally assisted contract will obligate the awardee not to discriminate in employment practices as mandated by the Davis-Bacon Act and Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to respond. CHA reserves the right to retain all bid packages submitted and use any idea in a bid package regardless of whether the bid package is selected. Please direct questions to Priscilla M. The contractor will be required to: Mitsubishi 2.0 Ton model MXZ 3C30 with Mitsubishi Fan coil head units, models MSZ GS09 and MSZ GS18, to cover the bedroom and living room area. Install pad and support for the new condenser to sit outside of the residential unit. Install line sets and refrigerant to accommodate the new system. Insulate all refrigerant lines and conceal them with proper molding. Repair all access through any wall penetration, and paint with the same color to blend. All new electrical wiring must be installed from the power panel with the appropriate circuit breaker, as the manufacturer requires. Electrical surge protectors and pumps must be installed with each head/condenser. The new Split Unit installed must be commissioned and tested, followed by demonstration and education for the resident and/or facility maintenance technician. Warranty of product and labor must be submitted with the bid. All worked areas must be swept and cleaned from dirt and debris. The contract is for two years or six (6) split unit installations, whichever occurs first. The bid amount should be based on a turn-key installation of six (6) units and will remain in effect for the duration of the contract. The Housing Authority of the City of Charleston reserves the right to wave irregularities, to reject any/and all bids, and to re-advertise this project in accordance with any state, local, and federal regulations.
