Renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility in Kapolei, Hawaii. Completed plans call for the renovation of a warehouse / distribution facility.

SCOPE OF WORK/SPECIFICATIONS: Supply of all necessary materials, labor, and use of tools and equipment to implement and complete, in safe and acceptable procedures and workmanship, the total removal of existing high bay luminaire fixtures and emergency lights and installation of new replacements to include new replacements for wiring devices, based on the attach Electrical Plan and the Scope of Work/Specifications. A. Removal and disposal of existing light fixtures and emergency lights. To be removed are: - Thirty-eight (38) luminaire fixtures mounted about sixteen (16') feet above the floor. - Thirty-two (32) luminaire fixtures mounted about twenty-six (26') feet above the floor. - Seventeen (17) emergency lights mounted about ten to twelve (10'-12') feet above the floor. All removed luminaire fixtures and emergency lights shall be transported and properly disposed to a licensed landfill or licensed Recycling Plant. Costs of transport, landfill or recycling plant fees, EPA or HIDOH permit fees for materials which may contain suspected toxic substances, shall be included in the bid cost estimate. Interested Bidders shall include in their bid estimate the cost of man-lift equipment rental. Man-lift equipment must be able to reach a minimum of thirty (30') feet height. Bidders must visit the site to determine the type of man-lift equipment suited for the warehouse area. B. Installation of replacement high bay luminaire fixtures. Notes: The following product specifications are based on the recommended KBL Series Version "C" CREE Lighting products (LED Low-Bay/High-Bay Luminaire) The Bidders can specify other equal approved products by other Manufacturers. Install the following: B.1) Thirty-eight (38) luminaire fixtures for the fourteen (14') feet mounting height. The fixtures must be fully assembled with prismatic reflector and universal mount. Product specifications: - Construction and materials: Die cast aluminum heatsink, low-profile, lightweight. IP65 optics with tempered glass lens LED protection and dust barrier. UV (universal) mount shall be provided with factory installed spring lock hook for mounting, and an adapter plate to accept a 3/4 IP pendant. - Reflector: Clear prismatic acrylic, KBL-ACR-16. Reflector height is 8.5". - Lumens: 18L (18,000 lumens) - CRI (Color Rendering Index): 80 CRI - CCT (Correlated Color Temperature): 4000K - Optic: Medium with clear glass lens - Input voltage: Cord only, UL (Universal) 120-277V - Mounting: UV (Universal hook and cord mount with adaptor plate for pendant mount) - Mounting pendant: The Bidder shall include the cost of mounting pendants. B.2) Thirty-two (32) luminaire fixtures for the twenty-four (24') feet mounting height. The fixtures must be fully assembled with prismatic reflector and universal mount. Product specifications: - Lumens: 24L (24,000 lumens) Notes: All other product specifications for Item B.2 shall be the same as what are specified for Item B.1. C. Installation of new replacement emergency lights. C.1) Seventeen (17) new emergency lights to replace the existing non-functional emergency lights. Product specifications: - 20-gauge steel housing, preferably in off-white powder coat finish. - Two (2) top-mounted, fully directional, 25 W HIT (High Intensity) lamp heads. - UL 924 Listed. - Dual 120/277 VAC input. - Surge protected solid state circuitry. - For indoor use. - Maintenance-free 12 V Nickel-Cadmium battery (must be included). - Includes push-to-test switch and charge rate/power indicator. - Puts out 1.5 hours (90 minutes) of emergency light. - DC Bayonet Incandescent Lamp. Notes: All existing emergency light supports shall remain. The Contractor shall make the necessary adjustments of the support and shall provide additional materials to accommodate the new replacement emergency lights. D. Wiring terminals/devices. All existing wiring terminals/devices which are part of the high bay luminaire fixtures and emergency lights circuits shall be replaced with new terminals/devices. The following quantities shall be used in the preparation of cost estimate: D.1) Eleven (11) plug-in type circuit breakers, 20 A, 120 V, inside electrical panel HA1. D.3) Fourteen (14) toggle switches for the high bay luminaire fixtures. Retain all switch covers E. Tests All high bay luminaire fixtures and emergency lights shall be tested for proper terminations/connections and functionality. New replacement switches and circuit breakers shall also be checked and tested. F. Final clean-up: Clean all areas affected by the construction project by removing excess construction materials and all other debris.
