Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Stratford, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
The work under this Contract includes the reconstruction of Avon Street from Avondale Avenue to John Street North, as well as Avondale Avenue from Avondale Cemetery to Huron Street. The project primarily focuses on improving roadway drainage and replacing the existing sanitary sewer, watermain, and storm sewer. New sidewalks and curbs will be installed as specified in the plans. Street closures will not be permitted without the City's express written consent. To minimize disruptions to residents and businesses, the work will be completed in two stages: Stage 1 in 2025 and Stage 2 in 2026. Prior to the winter shutdown period between stages, the Contractor must reinstate all hard surfaces for winter operations. Question Deadline: Mon Apr 14, 2025 12:00:00 PM (EDT) The Bidder shall complete the work within a time to be known as the Time for Completion of One Hundred (100) Working Days. The construction of Stage 2 of the Contract shall start or about Monday March 30th, 2026. The Bidder shall complete the work within a time to be known as the Time for Completion of Sixty (60) Working Days
