mowing of levees and other EPSD-owned properties throughout the City of East Peoria, IL. The mowing areas are divided up into ten (10) areas and twenty-five (25) sites that total approximately twenty-six (26) acres. The contract will be for a period beginning May 1, 2025 through April 30, 2026 with two (2) possible one (1) year extensions. 1. The approximate mowing season runs from May 1st through October 31st. Mowing services shall be performed between the hours of 7:00am and 5:00pm Central Time, Monday through Friday. 2. Contractor shall perform mowing services a minimum of five (5) times per mowing area per mowing season using the appropriate labor, equipment and materials needed to maintain a 4" - 5" height during the growing season. EPSD reserves the right to cease mowing services during extended drought conditions without penalty (Notice will be provided on Friday by 3:30PM for services scheduled to be performed in the following week). Areas bordering foundations, structures, fences, trees, utility poles, guardrails, etc., shall be string trimmed to match mowed area. 4. Prior to mowing, contractor shall inspect grounds and remove any trash and litter. Mowing over trash and litter is not permitted. 5. After mowing, trimming, etc., all pavements and walkways shall be blown or swept and grass clippings removed. Driving a mower over sidewalk or walking trail does not constitute "blowing or sweeping". 6. The contractor shall perform all work in a timely, orderly, and efficient manner satisfactory to EPSD. To ensure quality and thoroughness of work, Contractor shall provide a signed and dated activity receipt with each invoice detailing the work completed at each site as specified herein. the East Peoria Sanitary District reserves the right to consider the competency, responsibility, and past experience of each bidder, as well as the total overall dollar amount of the bid
