Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Peoria, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The proposed improvements consist of removal and replacement of various sidewalk sections with accessible sidewalks and ramps in the Creighton Woods subdivision and along N. North Street from W. Merle Lane to W. Florence Avenue. Curb and gutter replacements and driveway replacements adjacent to the sidewalk improvements are also included in the work. All provisions regarding EEO, prevailing wage, certified payroll, and DBE and WBE requirements shall be strictly enforced. All work shall be in compliance with specifications and all state and federal laws and regulations. All proposals must be accompanied by cash, certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for the full amount of the contract, with sureties, to be approved by the City Engineer. Compliance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act is required under this contract. Prime Contractors have an obligation to make a good faith effort to advance the City's commitment to increase diversity among the firms working on City construction projects. The City of Peoria reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any or all proposals.
