11th Floor Lecture Hall Remodel. Contract Term: 90 Calendar Days After the Contract Approved Date. Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy. The State University of New York reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 18.9% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 11.1% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% This renovation project is for the 11th Floor Lecture Hall, which current space is approximately 500 square feet and primarily used for small classes. The College needs to expand the space to accommodate 25-30 students and enhance the learning environment. The project includes expanding the classroom by incorporating the 135-square-foot storage area; as well as, refreshing and updating the adjacent Faculty/Staff pantry (Room 1117). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: o Demolition of the existing ceiling, lighting, diffusers, return grille, storage space, walls, door & frame, window shade, carpet, countertops, cabinetry, and other components. o Construction of new glass entry door openings. o Installation of a new ceiling, lighting, flooring, walls, diffusers, return grille, kitchen countertop, sink, faucet, cabinetry, and more. June 2024 o Patching and painting the entire space. o Upgrading electrical wiring, conduits, lighting, and outlets. o Installation of new AV electrical power, switches, and outlets. o Installation of a new radiator cover and window shade. o Other elements specified in the drawings and project documents. The work to be done under the Contract, in accordance with the Contract Documents, consists of performing, installing, furnishing and supplying all materials, equipment, labor and incidentals necessary or convenient for the construction of Project Number 010325S, titled 11 th Floor Lecture Hall Remodel and carry out all of the duties and obligations imposed upon the Contractor by the Contract Documents. Natalie Rebuck Architecture PLLC is the Architect/consultant for this project and will be involved throughout the construction process, including issuing the final punch list. The primary scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: o Demolition of the existing ceiling, lighting, diffuser, return grille, storage space, walls, door & frame, window shade, carpet, countertop, cabinetry, and other elements in the Lecture Hall, which is Room 1118A-Storage Space and Room 1117-Pantry. o Installation of a new ceiling, lighting, flooring, walls, diffuser, return grille, kitchen countertop, sink, faucet, cabinetry, and other fixtures. o Patching and painting as entire space. o Installation of new electrical wiring, conduits, lighting, and outlets. o Installation of new AV electrical power, switches, and outlets, if required. o Installation of a new radiator cover and window shades. The existing 11th Floor Lecture Hall space is approximately 500 square feet and is primarily used for small classes. The current condition of the space is suboptimal, featuring a 1'x1' spline ceiling, outdated electrical fixtures, severely worn carpeting, and a lack of audio-visual equipment.
