Renovation of an educational facility in Dalton, Georgia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of May 9, 2025 , This project has been awarded to BC Construction at the May 5th Board Meeting. Amount: $268,883.25.** Remove Old VCT, Cove Base, and Carpet. Prep and Install New VCT and Cove Base. Question Deadline 04/15/2025 at 2:00 PM ET All inquiries for information must be directed to the Vendor Registry website GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1. Remove Old VCT, Cove Base, Rubber Stair Treads, and Carpet, Prep and Install New VCT Flooring, Rubber Stair Treads, and Cove Base. 6.2 SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT 1. Work must be completed during school closings. All these dates are projected depending on budget restriction. o Summer Break (Project Start Thurs., May 29, 2025 - Mon., July 28th, 2025, the zones that are worked on in the month on June must be completed and invoiced on or before June 30, 2025 due to the end of the year budget). o Fall Break (Sat., October 11, 2025 - Tues., October 14, 2025) o Thanksgiving Break (Sat. November 22, 2025 - Fri.., November 28, 2025). o Christmas Break (Sat., December 20, 2025 - Fri., January 2, 2026). o Spring Break (Sat., April 4, 2026 - Fri., April 10, 2026). o Finish during Summer Break (Sat., May 28, 2026 and must be completed and invoices on or before June 30, 2026). 2. Work must be completed 2 days early excluding weekends during each time period to allow Custodial Staff to complete waxing of the new VCT tile. 3. Clean up to allow for area usage after completion. 4. Proposer shall be responsible for moving furniture in all areas and moving back. 6.3 THE WORK/PRODUCT 1. Remove old VCT, Cove Base, Rubber Stair Treads, and Carpet from School. Proposer shall provide labor to remove and dispose of materials according to all local, state and federal regulations. 2. Prep Floor and Install VCT Tile, Rubber Stair Treads, and Cove Base in marked areas (Section 10). Square Footage shall be measured and determined by proposer. 3. Install transition thresholds where needed. 4. All labor and materials are to be supplied by proposer. 5. Perform moisture test to determine if sealer is required. 6. VCT Moisture Resistant Vinyl Tile Adhesive shall be used. 7. Tile samples to be submitted to the Director of Facilities for approval. 8. VCT color shall to be determined after awarded. Colors shall be discussed during Mandatory Pre-Proposal.
