Work shall consist of furnishing all paint, labor, and equipment for the placing of yellow centerline stripes, no passing lines, and white shoulder lines, stop bars, and trail markings for the season's requirements for the year 2025 on County, Minnesota paved highways. The successful quote shall furnish all the necessary signs and equipment for the direction of traffic while striping is in progress. A broken yellow line shall be used for the centerline stripe. The broken centerline shall be 10 feet of stripe to 40 feet of skip. A solid yellow line shall be used to designate No-Passing Zones. A solid white line shall be used as edge striping, as directed by the Engineer. All yellow lines shall have a 4-inch minimum width. All white lines shall have a 6-inch minimum width. All paint used shall be high solids water based traffic paint meeting MnDOT specification 3591. Paint shall be applied at a minimum rate of 15 mils wet thickness Apply drop-on-glass beads at a rate of 8 pounds per gallon as specified by MnDOT specification 2582.3.B.8 Retroflective Media Work shall be done as requested by the County Engineer and it is possible that the work may be done at 3 separate times. Work shall be completed within 14 calendar days of when requested by the Engineer. No painting will be allowed during rainy weather or when the road surface is damp. The ambient air temperature must be at least 50 degrees Fahrenheit. No striping will be done on weekends or holidays without prior approval of the County Engineer. The provisions of MnDOT 1903 shall not apply to any item on this Proposal All quantities contained in the Proposal are approximate to be used to provide a uniform basis for quotes. Actual quantities used shall be the only basis for payment. Unit price quote is to remain in effect until November 15, 2025.
