The Work involves the installation a new outdoor oxygen supply tank provided by Air Liquide to supplement the existing oxygen supply system at St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's King Campus. The new oxygen supply tank will be installed on a concrete pad, which will be designed to be compatible with a spill pad; and will be located in the sodded area to the north of the existing building. The tank location has been selected to comply with all relevant regulatory standards, ensuring safety, accessibility, and regulatory compliance. As part of the site preparation, the existing water service will be removed and replaced; additionally, the existing fire hydrant along with the necessary connection pipework will also be reinstated. A new buried oxygen supply line will be installed to connect the proposed oxygen tank to the building's existing oxygen supply piping system, which is located in the mechanical room. Underground electrical wiring and conduits will also be installed between the existing building's mechanical room and the proposed oxygen system to provide the required electrical services for the new tank. Further Work includes the replacement of the existing fire water mains and potable water mains, which will be run through the same trench as the oxygen piping from the bulk tank to the building. The installation of the new supply tank will include site preparation to for the concrete pad, along with grading work to ensure proper drainage. Tree protection measures and sediment and erosion control will be implemented during construction to safeguard existing trees near the installation site to prevent erosion and sedimentation issues. The mechanical Work includes demolition of the existing oxygen tank manifold and the provision of an underground oxygen line connecting the new permanent mini bulk oxygen supply tank to the existing piping system at the location where the previous manifold was situated inside the King Campus's medical gas tank room. Additionally, power and alarm control wiring and heat tracing will be installed from the existing building to the mini bulk oxygen tank control panel. The Work will cause disturbances to portions of the existing asphalt pavement, concrete sidewalk, concrete curbs, and sod; all of which shall be reinstated to meet existing conditions, or better. Subject to St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton's reserved rights and privileges set out in this RFT, the Contract shall be awarded to the bidder that submitted the compliant Bid with the lowest Procurement Value. Bidders eligible to submit Bids for this Request for Tender have been previously selected through the process of Request for Supplier Qualifications 02-2425-RFSQ.
