This is a "REQUEST FOR INFORMATION" only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing to Contract Specialist John Bolt, john.bolt@va.gov, no later than 4/1/2024 at 3:00 pm EST. Telephone inquiries shall not be accepted. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name (b) address (c) point of contact (d) phone and email (e) DUNS/SAM UEI number (f) Cage Code (g) Tax ID Number (h) type of small business, e.g. SDVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, Women Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Small Business HUBZone business and (i) must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor for the work described below. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Regional Procurement Office East (RPO East), Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) James J Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, NY is seeking a contractor to furnish supervision, labor, equipment, and material necessary to repair the Building16 roof top mechanical unit, scope of work includes supplying and installing new compressor, condenser, and fan motor. All work shall be completed in accordance published applicable local/state/federal codes and regulations. VA personnel and the contractor shall inspect BLD 16 HVAC unit before any work is performed and agree on the condition and any existing damage or failures prior to beginning work. Contractor shall submit a written workplan to the Contracting officer and COR for approval prior to starting. Equipment is currently offline due to the needed repairs. Contractor shall conduct a visual inspection of building 16 roof top HVAC and supporting equipment to further identify operational issues. Contractor shall install new compressor, condenser, and fan motor. The contractor must field verify all replacement parts prior to ordering. Contractor shall replace all connecting fittings associated with the installation of compressor, condensers, and fan motors. The contractor shall charge refrigeration system with new refrigerant per manufacturers recommendations. The contractor shall adjust, and balance new fan and motor assembly as needed. The contractor shall make all necessary electrical connections. The contractor shall remove all debris and waste associated with this project. Repairs not included withing this scope that shall incur an additional cost to the VA shall not be performed unless a modification is provided by the Contracting Officer (CO). NAICS Code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors Small Business Size Standard of $19 million. The classification code is 4120 Air Conditioning Equipment. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements above, may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by April 1st, at 3:00 p.m. (EST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to John.Bolt@va.gov. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time.
