Site work and paving for a road / highway in Bedford, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Bids shall be properly and completely executed with form 96. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond in an amount not less than 10 percent (10%) made payable to the City of Bedford. Bid bonds must be secured by a surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in Indiana. Certified checks or bid bonds of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them upon selection of the successful bidder. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish the City of Bedford with a certificate of insurance showing that the bidder is covered by liability insurance in an amount of no less than one million ($1,000,000.00) dollars and that this coverage shall be in full force and effect during the time that the bidder is performing services for the City. No bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of 30 days following date set for receiving bids. The City of Bedford, Indiana reserves the right to hold any and all bids for a period of not more than thirty (30) days, and all bids shall be and remain valid and in force and effect during said period. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in part or in whole, and to waive informalities, and to award the bid to any bidder or bidders, all to the advantage of the City of Bedford.
