The City of Compton (City) is soliciting a Request for Proposal (RFP), through a competitive process, for the procurement of the Furnishing and Delivery of Chlorine Chemicals. The City is seeking an Agreement term of three fiscal years: 2025-2026, 2026-2027 and 2027-2028, with an option to renew for an additional two (2) years. Goods and/or services shall remain fixed for the three-year period during the signed contract. The City of Compton's Municipal Water Department (CMWD) service area is primarily situated within the City of Compton's corporate boundary. The CMWD's service area includes approximately 6.73 square miles, and the service area population was estimated in 2020 to be 74,260 To be considered responsive to the RFP requirements, vendors must submit a proposal indicating their knowledge and experience related to the services being sought. The objective of this proposal is to request proposals from qualified vendors to furnish and deliver chlorine chemicals at specific locations in the City of Compton for three fiscal years July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028, with the option to renew for an additional two (2) years. The City of Compton reserves the right to reject any or all proposals submitted. No guarantee is made hereby that any contract will be awarded pursuant to the Request for Proposals or otherwise. All costs incurred in the preparation of the proposals, in the submission of additional information, and/or in any other aspect of a proposal prior to the award of a written contract will be borne by the respondent. The City of Compton reserves the right to retain all proposals submitted and to use any ideas in a proposal, regardless of whether or not the proposal is selected.
