Asphalt patching service for primary and secondary routes in Dickenson, Lee, Scott, and Wise Counties of the Wise Residency of the Bristol District. A Pre-Bid Conference will not be held for this solicitation. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT"), and agency of the Commonwealth of Virginia, is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide all equipment, labor, tools, and transportation necessary to perform on-call, as needed asphalt patching operations on primary and secondary routes in Dickenson, Lee, Scott, and Wise Counties located in the Wise Residency of the Bristol District in accordance with the specifications contained herein. This may also include small miscellaneous patching projects at VDOT facilities within these counties. This contract will be awarded in four (4) lots. Bidders may bid on one or more lots. The Contractor shall ensure their capacity to perform work under this contract, regardless of other contractual responsibilities to VDOT or elsewhere. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within the time frame required herein. If a Contractor is successful in being awarded multiple lots, it is the Contractor's responsibility to ensure adequate resources (personnel and equipment) are available to accomplish all work within the specified timeframe. The Bidder shall indicate on the fillable form Attachment F titled Contractor's Capacity the number of lots their company has the capacity to service. PERIOD OF CONTRACT: The contract will be for a period of one year from date of award (renewable). The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of questions or other matters raised. Provide questions by 5:00 pm, March 26, 2025. SCOPE OF WORK: The Contractor shall provide equipment with experienced operators, labor, on-site supervision, certified flaggers, fuel, traffic control (including Portable Temporary Rumble Strips), transportation (mobilization), tools, materials, supplies, and incidentals as necessary for performing paving and flexible pavement planing on primary and secondary routes on an as-needed basis for locations within the Wise Residency in Dickenson, Lee, Scott, and Wise Counties. All work performed under this contract shall be under the direction of the Contract Administrator or designee.
