The Project includes the following Work: The resurfacing ofthe existing splash pad at the Windber Recreation Pool. The existing splash pad is approximately 1000 square feet. Resufacing shall include all labor, material and equipment to resurface the existing splash pad, in accordance with the Scope ofWork. All work shall be completed by May 29th, 2025 A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order ofthe Owner or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond on the form provided, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety (Surety companies must appear on the TreasuryDepartment's most current list (Circular 570 as amended) and be authorized to transact business in the State of Pennsylvania), in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) ofthe total ofthe Bid shall be submitted with each bid to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract ifgiven the award. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) ofthe Contract Price. Bids will remain subject to acceptance for 60 days after the Bid opening; PROVIDED, however, that ifthe award ofthe contract is delayed by a required approval of another government agency, the sale ofbonds or the award ofthe grant or grants, the Owner shall reject all bids or award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder within 120 days ofthe date ofthe BID opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration ofsuch 120-day period or for such longer period oftime that Bidder may agree to in writing upon request ofOwner. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage rates will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring practices and related matters. All contractors and subcontractors shall comply with the Public Works Employment Verification Act. The Act requires the contractor to verify employment eligibility through the e-verify program operated by the United States Department ofHomeland Security as a precondition ofbeing awarded a contract for this project. The contract documents contain information and verification Form regarding the Act. This project is funded by PA Local Share Account Program funds. Contractor shall comply with all requirements ofgrant conditions for Windber Pool and Safety Upgrades (Contract C000092616). The "Steel Products Procurement Act" applies to this project for all steel used for construction. Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their Bid a Qualifications Statement for prime contractor and all subcontractors.
