Valley View Avenue Infrastructure Improvements Estimated Cost $950,000 Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. SCOPE OF WORK All work under this Contract shall be done in conformance with the MassDOT 2024 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the 2017 Construction Standard Details, the MassDOT Traffic Management Plans and Detail Drawings, the MassDOT Work Zone Safety Temporary Traffic Control, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports, the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting, the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with Massachusetts Amendments, the Massachusetts Stormwater Handbook and Stormwater Standards (2008), the Massachusetts DEP Drinking Water Regulations (310 CMR 22.00), the American Water Works Association (AWWA) Standards for Water Mains, the American Standard for Nursery Stock, the Town of Russell Water Department Standards and Specifications, the Plans, and these Special Provisions. The work to be performed under this Contract consists of corridor improvements along Valley View Avenue in the Town of Russell, Hampden County, Massachusetts, including the reconstruction of roadway, sidewalks, and associated infrastructure. Please refer to Specifications. The work includes the installation of curbing and sidewalks, reconstruction of ADA/MAABcompliant curb ramps, and full-depth pavement reconstruction along Valley View Avenue. The project also includes drainage improvements, water and sewer line replacements, roadway milling and overlay, landscaping, pavement markings, and signage.
