The Project consists of but not limited to: Construction of a new sign base in front of Murdock Hall on the campus of the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, Massachusetts Contractor Qualification Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Project Number MCLA - P195 Estimated Cost $100,000 1. Contractor shall examine existing conditions including underground utilities and report any discrepancies or variances to the project Designer. 2. The MCLA electrical staff will disconnect power to the existing sign lighting. 3. Once power is terminated, the MCLA electrical staff will disconnect and salvage the existing sign lighting. 4. The Contractor shall remove the existing site sign and its supports and return the sign assembly to the Owner for salvage and future use. Deliver the salvaged sign and supports to the location designated by the MCLA Project Manager. 5. The Contractor shall excavate the existing electrical conduit in the area of the new sign as indicated on the site plan and shall coordinate the Work with the MCLA electrical staff to assist in the installation of a UL listed outdoor in-ground handhold and new conduit in the area indicated on the site plan. The in-ground box and any new underground conduit and wiring will be provided and installed by the MCLA electrical staff. Assistance includes excavation and backfilling for the new in-ground enclosure and new conduit, as well as removal and disposal of any abandoned underground conduit or wiring. Provide appropriate sub-base and fill materials as directed by the MCLA electrician. 6.
