The San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is soliciting bids for the replacement of the existing pump assembly for Brackish Groundwater Desalination (BGD) Well 8 at the SAWS AquiferStorage Recovery (ASR) well field and supplying the H2Oaks Brackish Groundwater Desalination plant. The plant is located in Southern Bexar County and is approximately 25 miles south of the City of San Antonio, Texas. This project replaces the prior vertical turbine line shaft pump assembly with a submersible motor vertical turbine deep well pump unit. Replacement of the pump includes the purchase, delivery, installation, and field testing of one (1) vertical submersible well pumping unit. The pumping unit includes, but is not limited to, submersible electric motor; bowl assembly, discharge column pipes, in-line check valve(s), electrical cable, electrical appurtenances, water level test lines (air lines), discharge head / elbow, and all other appurtenances specified or otherwise required for proper operation, meeting the field-testing requirements. The CONTRACTOR is responsible for complete installation of the pumping unit, including above-ground electrical junction box and associated power connections for the pumping unit.
