The County Commissioners of Caroline County, on behalf of the Caroline County Department of Public Works, are accepting contractor bids for the CLOCKTOWER RESTORATIONS of the Caroline County Circuit Courthouse located at 109 Market Street, Denton, MD 21629. Work is generally described as follows: The project scope is to renovate/restore the clock tower as indicated on the Drawings and Specifications and includes, but not limited to, provide temporary exterior access to the roof and temporary protection of existing roof areas, remove, store, clean and reinstall existing copper weathervane, clean and paint masonry base of clock tower, remove, repair, reinstall and paint existing wood louvers (8), remove and replace existing clock tower roof tile, membrane, flashing and wood sheathing, remove, store, repair, clean, and reinstall clock face assemblies (4), remove and replace damaged wood structural elements as indicated on the drawings, provide new roof tiles, membrane, flashing and wood sheathing as indicated by the Drawings and Specifications, clean, repair, prime, and paint existing tin cornice.
