The Library project consists of the replacement of four (4) multizone roof top units, electrical connections, supports, controls, duct and HVAC unit cleaning for all HVAC systems that are to remain in the building, and automatic controls system (ATC) upgrades including all necessary updated licenses, software and workstation. All existing HVAC equipment shall be migrated onto the new ATC system. Duration of the contract for the construction of this Project shall be twelve (12) months from the issuance of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Township. All bidders shall also submit a Bid Guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond, payable to Township of East Brunswick, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, but not to exceed $20,000.00. The Consent of Surety shall guarantee the faithful performance of all provisions of the Contract Documents. The Township of East Brunswick reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:1113.2 and any bid that is non-responsive or submitted by a bidder that is not responsible in accordance with applicable law., East Brunswick may waive any minor formalities or nonmaterial exceptions in a bid in accordance with applicable law. Question Deadline 05/06/2025Any explanation desired by a Bidder regarding the meaning or interpretation of the Contract Documents or any requests for clarification must be requested in writing and made to the Engineer, no later than eight (8) calendar days prior to the bid submission date, Saturdays, Sundays or holidays excepted, in order to allow the Architect to prepare a response and issue an Addendum, ifrequired, no later than seven days, Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays excepted, prior to the bid submission date, as required by N.J.S.A. 40A:ll-23.
