**As of June 09, 2025, the project was awarded to Caroll Construction Co but the awarded amount is not available.** The Shawneeland Sanitary District requests bids from qualified contractors to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment, as well as perform all the work required to complete the road surfacing improvement on 7.49 miles of roads in the Frederick County Sanitary District of Shawneeland. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference is NOT scheduled for this solicitation. Questions regarding this Invitation for Bids (IFB) must be received prior to the date and time posted on the announcement page. A. Bids are required on each individual trail with a total bid including all trails. A list of trails to be paved and the pavement requirements are presented hereinafter. B. No traffic shall be allowed on the new surface until the rolling has been completed. C. The Contractor shall be responsible for all clean up within the project areas. D. In the event the contractor or any of his employees, agents, or servants causes damage to personal property, the contractor shall reimburse the County for any loss the County may suffer as a result of the liability of the contractor, his employees, agents, or servants. E. All work shall be accomplished, and the contract completed by June 30, 2025. F. An on-site supervisor shall be available when work is being accomplished. G. Brooming shall be done on all roads to remove loose stones and dirt. H. Flagmen shall be provided by the contractor where deemed necessary by the Manager of the Sanitary District. I. The contractor shall be responsible for all material delivered to the trail area/site. J. Weather conditions must be permissible for the application of treated material. K. A steel drum roller shall be used to compact the stone and shall not exceed a weight of (8) tons. L. The contractor shall be reimbursed in accordance with this contract upon completion of this project to the County's satisfaction.
