Remodeling and renovation of a military facility in Silverdale, Washington. Completed plans call for the remodel of a military facility.
N4425524RA046 / ACQR 6030243 Replace Existing Air Handling Units and Exhaust Fans, Bldg. 7000, TRF-Bangor. Replace Existing Air Handlers and Exhaust Fans: HVAC#1 & ACEF#1, HVAC#2 & ACEF#2, HVAC#3 & HVEF#3 and HVAC#4 & ACEF#4. New HVAC & ACEF units shall be fan wall configuration. Provide and install new low leakage mixed air dampers for each HVAC & ACEF system respectively. Escorts are not required. All work must be coordinated through the NAVFAC Engineering Technician (ET). A preconstruction meeting shall be coordinated at least two (2) weeks prior to start of work and include at a minimum the ET, Customer, Contractor, and all required Sub-Contractors. Completion Time Frame: The project is to be completed within 240 days after award. (Remove and Replace HVAC#1/ACEF#1, HVAC#2/ACEF#2, HVAC#3/HVEF#3, HVAC#4/ACEF#4), with Fan Wall Configured Air Handlers add new floor grating as needed.) Engineering study may be required. 1. Coordinate with ET prior to commencement of work. 2. Hardware must be on site prior to commencement. 3. Schedule necessary outages w/date requirements in mind for processing w/customer for smallest impact to occupants. Outages may be delayed due to operational requirements. 4. Ensure all areas exposed to potential tools / parts falling beneath work area are made safe and clear of people and assets. 5. Remove AHU's. 6. Remove Exhaust fans. 7. Install floor grating where new AHU's footprints are different. 8. Install new Air Handling equipment. 9. Replace existing valves and actuators. 10. Provide and install all new low leakage air dampers for each HVAC, HVEF and ACEF system respectively. Ensure all dampers work together. 11. Ensure that full mechanical, electrical and communicative integration into the facility, including but not limited to; Building Management System (BMS). All existing BMS features currently in the system shall be reconnected and fully operational on the new HVAC, HVEF and ACEF systems respectively. Ensure that VFD's are tracking and being controlled properly, ensure all dampers are aligned properly and modulating as controlled. Fully integrate the Duct Smoke / Fire detectors all fire alarm and duct smoke detector work shall be done in compliance with the current editions of NFPA 72 and NFPA 90A and shall be integrated with the existing Gamewell-FCI E3 fire alarm system.. Ensure the Static / duct pressure control units and switches are fully integrated and tracking properly with relation to fan speeds. 12. Graphics pages shall be updated and functional to depict newly installed systems. 13. All new AH equipment will be protected with new fused disconnect switches, both supply and return / (exhaust) unless integrated. 14. Ductwork shall connect at the closest point possible for supply air and conform to existing roof penetrations where possible for exhaust and intake air. 15. If new roof penetrations are made contractor shall seal existing roof openings and match existing roof type for all new work. 16. Upon completion of the work, the Contractor shall inform the ET to demonstrate operational tests.
