The work for which bids are being accepted consists of approximately 10,700 square yards of roadway reconstruction, including full curb replacement, sidewalk replacement, multi-use path installation, street lighting improvements, storm sewer upgrades, and other related work. All questions about the project shall be directed, in writing to Neil Yoder, with EMH&T, via email at nyoder@emht.com A bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid, or by a certified check, cashiers check or irrevocable letter of credit for ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the City of Whitehall, Ohio, conditioned that if the bid is accepted a Contract will be entered into within ten (10) days after notice of acceptance. A Performance Bond of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the amount of the Contract with a satisfactory surety company . The work shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after signing of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed within two hundred seventy (270) consecutive calendar days for the Base Bid described in the bidding and contract documents, after the issuance date of the Notice to Proceed, The City of Whitehall, Ohio, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, including all bids which, in the opinion of the Engineer, show evidence of unbalancing prices, and also to waive technical defects as the interest of the City may require.
