**As of June 24, 2025 the project was awarded to hemphill construction but the awarded amount is not available.** The work shall consist essentially of the following items: This project involves the removal of a portion of a raised concrete median island on Gluckstadt Road on the westbound approach to the intersection of Calhoun Station Parkway for the purpose of extending the westbound left turn lane approximately 120' and all other related items of work required to complete the project as shown as specified in the contract documents. The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all plant, labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier's check, Certified Check on a solvent bank or a Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to operate in the State of Mississippi, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, payable to the City of Gluckstadt as bid security. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested by the City. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. The contract time for the work included in this contract is 45 calendar days. The contract will be subject to liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per calendar day for each day in default after the agreed upon completion date. The contract time will begin on the date specified in the written Notice to Proceed. Each bidder shall write its certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing its proposal. Any bid without the certificate of responsibility written on the outside of the sealed envelope shall not be opened and considered. Each bidder submitting a bid electronically as a PDF file shall include its Certificate of Responsibility Number as part of its PDF electronic bid submittal. Any electronic PDF bid that does not include the bidder's Certificate of Responsibility Number shall not be considered. The City of Gluckstadt reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
