Site work and paving for a road / highway in Baden, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
. Bids may be considered and awarded at a meeting held by Economy Borough Council on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 7:00 pm. The work shall consist of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the following project: 2025 Road Improvement Project- Work consists of milling of existing asphalt, paving hot mix asphalt super pave binder and wearing courses, inlet adjustment, base repair, new asphalt wedge curbs, other rated appurtenances and miscellaneous work on eight (8) roads having a total length of approximately 13,500 feet. An alternate bid for similar work will be bid for a road having a total length of approximately 600 feet. Each Bidder must submit a bid bond or cashier's check as bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount made payable to Economy Borough. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of opening. All Bidders must have PennDOT Prequalification Certificates for the work classifications contemplated by this project. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount, and an 18-month Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract amount will be required. Pennsylvania Prevailing Minimum Wage Rates Will Apply. Economy Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities, and to alter the scope of work.
