Site work for a civil project in Austin, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A. Description of the Project 1. The project includes all work items as shown on the Drawings entitled Austin WWTP Flood Mitigation - Phase 1, unless noted to be performed by others. 2. Project work includes but is not limited to: a. Flood mitigation 1) Floodwalls consisting of steel sheet pile 2) Special concrete structures, gated for stormwater control 3) Earthen levee 4) Storm sewer 5) Site grading and restoration 3. Sanitary sewer piping and special structures 4. Hormel force main. Questions received less than 10 days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Major components of the Work include steel sheet pile wall, gated concrete control structures, sanitary sewer piping and valve control structures, and site grading. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A Contractor responding to these Bidding Documents must submit to the City/Owner a signed statement under oath by an owner or officer verifying compliance with each of the minimum criteria in Minnesota Statutes, section 16C.285, subdivision 3. This Work shall be subject to minimum wages and labor standards in accordance with Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry prevailing wage rates. The City of Austin reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive irregularities and informalities therein and to award the Contract in the best interests of the City of Austin.
