Bidders for this project are required to be pre-qualified with the Ohio Department of Transportation. Pre-qualification must be in force at the time of bidding, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. Each bidder shall be required to file with his proposal a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The guaranty shall be a bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. A certified check or cashier's check for ten percent (10%) of the bid can be submitted in lieu of a bond. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount. SPECIAL ATTENTION MUST BE GIVEN to all the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to ORC 4115 prevailing wages, various insurance requirements, and the requirement for a payment and performance bond for 100% of the contract price.
