Renovation of a mixed-use development in Paducah, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The work includes the renovations to the existing Paducah Tilghman High School Field House. The Project consists mostly of an interior renovation of the current field house located under the Tilghman Memorial Stadium. The work will be constructed in two phases. First phase will be the new locker rooms, and the second phase will be the alternates #1 & #2 for the Football locker room & Storage areas (if accepted). The work includes interior demolition and rebuilding of an existing locker room at the Tilghman Field House. Demolition work includes, but not limited to: Brick/CMU walls, doors, windows, concrete slab, casework, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and some roof items. New work includes, but not limited to: CMU walls, concrete slab, doors & frames, lockers, painting, epoxy flooring, limited structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and some roof repairs. The alternates #1 & #2 in the football locker rooms and storage areas will include additional demolition and new work items as noted in the drawings. The project includes acceptance of all existing site conditions (which are to be inspected by all bidders prior to bidding) and all other general construction, mechanical and electrical work specified in the Contract Documents dated March 2025. Liquidated damages will be assessed per the specifications. Direct Purchase of materials through Owner will be provided as a Contractor's option. Refer to Supplemental Instructions to Bidders and construction documents for additional information. Question Deadline 04/07/2025 All questions during the bidding period shall be submitted to Eric P. Steva, AIA, JRA Architects, via facsimile (859.255.5483) or email (esteva@jrarchitects.com). Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond, payable to the Owner in an amount of not less than 5% of the bid. The award of the contract shall be made on the basis of the lowest and best bid in the interest of Paducah Board of Education. No bidder may withdraw his/her bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the bid opening The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities and irregularities and shall have the right to reject any and all bids. The successful bidder shall provide a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Doc Notes: Plans and Specifications may be obtained from Lynn Imaging., 328 Old Vine St. Lexington, KY 40507, (859-255-1021), online. An electronic download will be available at no charge from Lynn Imaging. Hard copies of the plans and specifications may be obtained from Lynn Imaging for the cost of the sets, plus shipping, payable to Lynn Imaging. No partial sets will be issued; Documents may be obtained from the distribution department of Lynn Imaging., or on their website, online. Bid date notes: Immediately following the scheduled closing time for receiving the bids, all proposals that have been completely filled out and have been properly submitted with the appropriate attachments in accordance with the Contract Documents will be publicly opened and read. Bid Submission: Contractors are to place their Bid Bond and Proposal Form in one envelope. The submission envelope must be distinctly labeled for content with the project name and submitting company.
