Renovation of a water / sewer project in Edson, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This project has been cancelled The primary goals resulting from the project completion are as follows: 1. Construct a dedicated chemical room equipped with an alum dosing system to facilitate phosphorus precipitation, ensuring compliance with the 1.4 mg P/L limit. 2. Develop a UV disinfection facility along with a final effluent pumping station to effectively inactivate pathogens and meet the regulatory requirement of 2002 CFU/100 mL. 3. Install a 600mm final effluent force main to bypass the existing effluent storage pond while maintaining the option to discharge into the pond, along with implementing additional system upgrades. TIMELINE: The owner is seeking proposals from engineering consultants for design and contract documentation and administration services. The project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2026. Tender and construction schedules to be confirmed. *Budget is unreleased.
