Yellowhead County would like to receive bids from qualified contractors for the repair of soft areas on various gravel roads in the County. In the tender document attached refer to the Instructions to bidders, Tender Forms, Special Provisions, Location Maps and a Typical Cross-section for repair areas. The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to, the following: Provide Soft Spots Repair on the County gravel road locations listed in the tender document and according to the typical design cross-section provided. Work to be completed between August 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025. The Contractor shall ensure all surfaces are built true to grade, cross-section, and alignment with a consistent and uniform finish including the crown and the ditches. The Contractor shall ensure there is no damage to the culverts during construction. The Contractor shall supply all equipment in good condition for completion of the Work and services necessary for the work. The Contractor shall verify that all materials delivered and used in the work is the type and grade ordered that meets the required specifications. Construction shall include the supply and operation of all equipment for safe and efficient construction. The Work rate quoted will include, but not be limited to the operator's wages, fuel, oil, repair and maintenance. Hauling of water will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The water haul route must be maintained by the Contractor, keeping free of dust, ruts, ridges and washboard. The Contractor will be responsible for all material and equipment storage activities. Traffic Accommodation will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Cost of all delivery of all labour, equipment and materials for the Work to site will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for all First Call and line locating requirements for the Work. The Contractor is responsible to ensure that the roads within the scope of the Work are maintained in acceptable condition for local traffic. The Contractor shall produce all finished surfaces to achieve or exceed the grade, slope and width tolerance limits. Fuel and any other spills related to the work shall be cleaned up to the satisfaction of the Project Supervisor at the Contractor's expense. The Contractor shall be responsible for securing all environmental and regulatory permits before the start of construction. Cancelled.
