The White Mountain Apache Housing Authority is Advertising for Geotechnical Engineering Services for the construction of a single-story residential unit for the HIP Marilyn Hume Project 2025 in Cibecue, Arizona, on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. Unit Size: 1,000 Square Feet Unless indicated/recommended otherwise in the produced Geotechnical Report, it is the intent of the WMAHA to construct concrete slab on grade with 5-1/2" thick floor X 30" deep X 12" wide footing with #4 Rebar Mat spaced 16" on center Unless otherwise noted in the produced Geotechnical Report, the intent is to remove approximately 16" - 24" inches of the existing expansive native soils beneath the proposed building pad, scarify and recompact subgrade, and construct the building pad approximately 18" - 24" high above existing grade with import fill material derived from "Stago Borrow Pit", or other approved Borrow Pit. "Stago Pit" material has been tested previously and is known to be suitable material for building pad construction. For cost saving purposes, prospective bidders shall provide a proposal for either Boring or Test Pits, whichever is most economical and will serve the intended purpose. If Test Pits are proposed, WMAHA will provide the Backhoe and Operator to dig the Test Pits.
