**As of May 28, 2025, project was awarded to River town construction , awarded amount is $376,496.75. Fairground Lane Sidewalk Project . As referred to in paragraph 19, "Time for Completion and Liquidated Damages" of the Additional General Conditions for the Contractor and Subcontractor, liquidated damages beyond the original contract shall be established at $250.00 per day. Any questions about the City's bid procedures or requirements shall be directed to Dawn Winn, Assistant Finance Director, at 270-831-1290, ext. 220 Time of Completion: It is the intent of the Owner upon determination of a responsive and qualified bidder to award a contract that establishes a completion date of no later than 90 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The contractor shall be KYTC Prequalified Contractor for construction work at time of award. A Bid Bond in the form of a bank draft, certified check, or a satisfactory bond executed by the Bidder or a surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Contract Price, payable to the City of Henderson, shall be submitted with each bid. Failure to include the bid bond shall result in rejection of the bid. The successful bidder must furnish, within ten (10) days of notice of bid award, a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract price, as well as a payment bond equal to 100% of the contract price. Failure to supply the performance bond will result in forfeiture of the bid bond. Failure to comply with the provisions of the plans and specifications will result in forfeiture of the performance bond. All bonds must be in a form acceptable to the City of Henderson and shall be issued by a company satisfactory to the City and authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The performance bond shall be held for a one-year guarantee period, at which time, it will be released if no defaults are found. The payment bond will be released as soon as the contractor has certified to the City that all material and labor used on the project has been paid for. The City of Henderson reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and unless otherwise specified by the bidder, to accept any item or group of items in the bid. In case of error in extending the total amount of the bid, the unit price will govern.
