The University of Massachusetts Lowell is accepting bid for Painting Trade Labor. The Contractor shall provide all labor, supplies, environmental notifications and permits, transportation and equipment required to perform the scope of work for each project under this contract. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than 5% of the Contract amount listed in Section C of the Form for General Bid. The bid deposit may be in the form of a certified, treasurer's checks, or cashier's check; cash; or bid bond from a licensed surety M.G.L. c. 149, 44B (2). Notice for Bid Bonds and Certified Checks: If you choose to utilize a bid bond, you need to attach a scanned copy of the Bond into Jaggaer Sourcing Director, no hard copies are necessary. If you choose to utilize a Certified Check, you may upload a scanned copy of your Certified Check when submitting your bid, the scanned copy must be followed up with a hard copy delivered to the Unified Procurement Services Team (UPST), 50 Washington Street, Westboro MA within 72 hours after the bid opening. Failure to submit a hard copy of your certified check within the specified time period will result in the rejection of your bid. All bids are subject to the provisions of Mass. General Law Chapter 149 44A-44J as amended. Question Deadline 04/03/2025 at 5:00 PM ET Requests for clarification or additional information are to be submitted through online. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has set the following goals for workforce participation for minorities and women. The participation goals for this project shall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. Any Contract resulting from this RFB will be for 12 consecutive months with two (2) options to extend for an additional twelve (12) months each at the sole discretion of the University. Start date will be May 1. The University reserves the right to designate a representative to monitor the Contractor's work and who will only assist with the identification of the work area.
