The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is accepting bids for Overlay Scobey-West and Peerless Wolf Point Area. PROJECT SITE #1: PEERLESS ROUTE: X-10003 MILEPOST: 0.0 TO 2.0 SPECIFICATIONS FOR WORK: Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, incidentals and traffic control necessary to produce, haul, place, tack and compact approximately 2,962 tons of 1/2" Commercial Plant Mix Grade S PG 58H-34 asphalt mix material. The overlay shall be paved 0.15 feet thick and approximately 24 feet wide. Contractor is responsible for test trailer, transport, and setup. If the Department decides to perform testing at an area lab, this bid item will be deleted from the contract. The quantity is estimated and will be changed accordingly depending on pickup and delivery locations and miles transported. Contractor shall be responsible for all private property damage claims resulting from performance of the tasks described above. PROJECT SITE #2: SCOBEY WEST ROUTE: SEC-248 MILEPOST: 37.55 TO 46.0 SPECIFICATIONS FOR WORK: Contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, incidentals and traffic control necessary to produce, haul, place, tack and compact approximately 9,348 tons of 1/2" Commercial Plant Mix Grade S PG 58H-34 asphalt mix material. The overlay shall be paved 0.10 feet thick and approximately 26 feet wide. Contractor is responsible for test trailer, transport, and setup. If the Department decides to perform testing at an area lab, this bid item will be deleted from the contract. The quantity is estimated and will be changed accordingly depending on pickup and delivery locations and miles transported. Contractor shall be responsible for all private property damage claims resulting from performance of the tasks described above. The purpose of this contract is to accommodate a variety of situations, at a number of locations, with regard to furnishing materials, equipment and labor for the production and laydown of plant mix. WORK IS REQUIRED TO BE COMPLETED ON OR BEFORE: OCTOBER 31, 2025. The Department reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities.
