Renovation of a multi-residential development in Montreal, Quebec. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
Upgrades and repairs to the building located at 8305 Durocher Street in the Parc-Extension Borough of Montreal. The renovations will include the installation of a green roof, new windows, improved insulation, and the implementation of modern mechanical and electrical systems to ensure the comfort of occupants. The paved areas will also be transformed into green spaces. If the project concept is approved and the funding secured, the project may also include the construction of a third floor and expansion of the north side of the building. This new location will allow the organization to serve the low-income, and lacking community resources population north of Parc-Extension area. TIMELINE: Fundraising campaign is underway. The owner has been selected as a recipient of the federal governments Green and Inclusive Community Buildings program that allocated an amount of $3.7M for the renovation and transformation of the building. Scope of work, budget and timelines of the project development are being finalized.
