New construction of a medical facility in Hamilton, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 30,000-square-foot, one-story above grade medical facility.
Kemp Care Network through their Project Manager, mcCallumSather is inviting Construction Management firms to pre-qualify to submit CM fee proposals for the construction of purpose-built pediatric hospice with an approximate area of 25,000-30,000 square feet located at 41 South St W, Dundas ON. Shortlisted firms will be contacted in May, 2025. Schematic Design has been completed and Site Plan Approval is underway. The anticipated start date for construction is October 2025 with occupancy in the spring of 2027. It is an open invitation and qualified CM's will be shortlisted and invited to an interview. The top 3 scoring firms will be invited to submit an RFP and the final award date is anticipated to be in early June, 2025. The building will house a variety of spaces, including: - Residential Wing: 10 private suites designed to accommodate the unique needs of children with life-limiting illnesses. - Community Wing: Spaces for outpatient clinics, art and recreation therapy, music therapy, a theater, yoga and exercise, a library, and a classroom. - Administrative Offices: Dedicated workspace for Kemp Care staff and the Quality of Life and Advanced (QoLA) Care team. - Bereavement Center: A serene and supportive space for families coping with grief and loss. - Unique Therapeutic Spaces: A Snoezelen Room for calming light and sound therapy, a Volcano Room for emotional release, and a family kitchen and dining area.
